My name is Aaron Dimmette. I am an ISMA certified personal trainer, Starting Strength Seminar Attendee and owner of Catawba Valley Personal Training. We are a private training studio located in Hickory, North Carolina, which is dedicated to helping people over 50 build and maintain their strength. We primarily use the basic barbell movements (squat, deadlift, press) to stay strong. Barbell movements not only replicate things we do in daily life, but they are also safe and incredibly effective. I have been going to Catawba Valley Personal Training going on three years. I am stronger, I am more confident in myself than I have felt for a long time. My husband and I have always enjoyed hiking, but over the past few years we have had to limit our hikes to about four miles because I would experience intense lower back pain. I was also having some knee pain. I began training with Aaron at Catawba Valley Personal Training about nine months ago and it has made a huge difference in my life! Last week my husband and I visited a national park and hiked eight miles. I was amazed! At the end of the day I was very tired, but my back and knees did not hurt!! I am so thankful to have found this program and a way to get stronger so I can continue to do the things I enjoy.
